The new version of Drip Drip (1.7.2) is now available for both PC and Mac! Here are the changes we made:

* Rebalanced the difficulty settings and pacing of the game (due to player and critic feedback) for Easy and Medium so they are not too difficult, making them less hectic and more evenly paced so players won't be too overwhelmed. The Hard difficulty was also adjusted slightly.

* Rebalanced the number of drippers per weather cycle.

  1. *Adjusted how often threats come out.

So if you already have an earlier version it will auto update to the 1.7.2 version the next time you play Drip Drip.

True PC Gaming:

http://truepcgaming.com/2012/08/14/drip-drip-pc-review/

It may look like a cute and cuddly title, but Drip Drip can be brutally hard which is a good thing in today’s market.

On the flip side, the character and building art are of extreme high quality.  The tools come to life in how they look and move.

The audio for Drip Drip is great as well.  The clanking of pots and pans as they scurry along to their destinations, splatting sound of the sponge, thunder claps, lightning strikes and of course, the sounds of dripping water all come together in harmony.

The gameplay is extremely easy to pick up and the learning curve on Medium difficulty was almost perfect.  Drip Drip is one of those titles in the same vein as Peggle or Plants vs. Zombies where you begin to play just for a few minutes, but before you know it, two hours have passed.  This game brings back the quality frantic dash style that has been lost in the casual market due to the popularity of HOG/Adventure titles.

For fans of the dash genre, Drip Drip is a must-have title.  The great presentation, cute characters and crazy fun add up to time and the asking price of $9.99 well spent.  PC gamers new to this style of game should check it out too.  Do not worry.  No one will revoke your Hardcore PC Gaming Membership.

Glitch Cat:

Rating: 9/10

http://glitchcat.com/?p=2864at

The game has a very unique visual style that’s definitely its own.  The tools are animated objects with eyes that move very fluidly and respond well to your furious clicking. The levels themselves are also highly detailed and colorful, and the background art reflects the status of the rain very well. All in all, Drip Drip a visually pleasing game.  If there’s any complaints about the visuals, it is that they  are so well done and colorful that they draw attention away from the game’s useful mini-map that’s found on the bottom left of the screen.

The audio in the game is also very solid, with the spot-on sounds of dripping water and rainfall, and the clinking, clanking of hammers, buckets, pots and pans.

Finally, Drip Drip has an impressively long list of achievements for the completionists out there that will guarantee plenty of replay value. I know I’ve replayed every level several times just to get the best scores possible.

Drip Drip is a quirky and highly addictive strategy game that actually tries something new and does it well. It is a simple game, but it’s also a very fun one, very well worth the price of admission.  In my opinion it has very little in the way of flaws since everything actually does come together in a very cohesive way, and is great example of simple yet elegant game design.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a nation to save.

Gamezebo:

Rating 3.5/5

Pros: Unique, downright clever concept. Lots of different tools to unlock.

With Drip Drip, the game’s unique concept is worth a look.

Drip Drip, if nothing else, is a unique RTS that deserves credit for trying something new. If you’re looking for a challenging gameplay experience, Drip Drip has that too, mixed with cute personified inanimate objects that stand out against the static backgrounds.

Daily PC Game Reviews:

Rating 7.5/10

http://www.dailypcgamereviews.com/2012/10/drip-drip.html

Drip Drip is a great indie title that takes a cool idea and transforms it into a unique and fun little casual game.

Graphics wise, Drip Drip looks splendid for a casual game coming from an indie developer. Containers and tools all look alive thanks to their cartoon-like eyes and the UFO, ghost, and witch doctor are animated beautifully. I personally thought that the buildings were the best of the lot in terms of artwork; there is a lot of detail to look at and the different building styles lend a special character to each level.

For once, your main opponent is Mother Nature instead of some clichéd monstrous creature from Hell or some beast from outer space.

There's a demo to try out; it would be foolish for you not to at least try it.

Techulator:

Rating: 10/10

Drip Drip actually impressed a lot. This game is little different from other strategy games and the hardness level goes on increasing as the level go on changing and is very nice and commendable.

Drip Drip is an awesome game to play and deserves a score of 10 out of 10

Dark Station:

Rating 9/10

http://darkstation.com/reviews/drip-drip/

Bright and colorful, there was never any slowdown, even when levels were a haze of dripping water and disasters in the later levels of hard difficulty.

Like all Dash-style games, the fun really comes down to how much you like to test your reflexes and your ability to deal with quickly escalating problems. Drip Drip can be stressful, but with the separate difficulty levels, all that stress is easily manageable on a per-person basis.

Succeeding in everything it sets out to do, and coming in at a very respectable $9.99 price point, Drip Drip is an excellent diversion, especially if you need a break from the heavy video game drops this holiday season has given us. With room for some updates in the future, there is much to enjoy in this slightly damp package.

Dad’s Gaming Addiction

Rating 8/10

http://www.dadsgamingaddiction.com/drip-drip/

Overall, Drip Drip is a fun game that is light enough to appeal to players of all ages.  There are three difficulty levels, so kids and adults alike will be able to pick what kind of casual or challenging experience they’d prefer.  You’ll also be awarded stars based on your performance, giving you reason to come back to previous levels.  I personally enjoyed managing all of these mechanics at the same time, even if I didn’t always succeed.  You’ll need quick reflexes and some organizational skills to keep up at the later levels.  All in all, it’s worth the ten dollar price tag.

BioGamer Girl

Rating 8/10

http://www.biogamergirl.com/2013/01/drip-drip-video-game-review.html

The new release is all about time and resource management, and a colorful display will ensure you continue to stay enthralled by the game's addictive nature for hours on end.

Drip Drip is a fun title with only a few drawbacks, and if you're a casual gamer, you're sure to love the simplistic gameplay and variety of challenges the game throws at you.

Still, the game has a super colorful and fun graphical design that is only outdone by great sound effects that warn you of danger and makes storms sound super realistic. Drip Drip is a fun title that is well worth the $9.99 asking price, as you'll find yourself coming back to play the game continuously to unlock all of the game's achievements and earn 5-star ratings on all of the game's stages. Drip Drip is incredibly addictive and will have you breathing a sigh of relief each time a storm clears and the sun comes out. You can also try out the Drip Drip demo for free, if you're not sure you want to drop $10 on the game just yet, but we recommend you pick up the title today if you're looking for a fun new game to play at a cheap price.

Family Friendly Gaming

Rating 92

http://www.familyfriendlygaming.com/Reviews/2013/Drip%20Drip.html

The visuals in Drip Drip are very cute. I enjoyed seeing the graphics while playing. The water effects are neat, and the lightning effects are shocking. Sorry for the pun. The music and audio effects in Drip Drip fit the theme masterfully. It sounds like rain falling, and lightning striking. I loved it.

Drip Drip is one of the best PC games I have played all year long. I am so thankful that I was provided the opportunity to play and review this game. It is a fun, non-violent game that everyone in the family can enjoy. Drip Drip is a game that I hope gets ported over to other platforms. It is worth your time to play Drip Drip.

Analog Addiction

Rating 9/10

http://analogaddiction.org/2013/02/03/drip-drip-review/

Even if the game tries to inflict a sense of danger through its premise, the general tone is a lighthearted one, with cute little tools jumping around in nicely, detailed buildings, doing their job, complimented by great rain effects in the background. There are no graphical settings to fiddle with, but don’t worry, because this game will work on pretty much any configuration.

The Verdict

If you enjoy games like Plants vs. Zombies, you will definitely like Drip Drip, not because it has the same premise (duh!), but because it features one of those easy to pick up point-and-click adventures, which you will start, saying – “I’ll just play this for a few minutes” – and suddenly a few hours have passed and you’ll still be hooked to it.

Positives

+ Easy to pick up and play

+ Fun gameplay

+ Great sound effects

The Indie Mine

Rating 4/5

http://theindiemine.com/drip-drip-review/

The game has an inherent addictive quality. Drip Drip is a game that scratches the itch of every seasoned multitasker that also happens to enjoy playing video games.

There’s an addictive magic in that formula. Perhaps it’s the years of real-world training, but what seems like work is actually a lot of fun. Just remember to blink once in awhile.

Dual Shockers

Rating 8.5/10

http://www.dualshockers.com/2013/02/06/review-drip-drip/

It’s a well-made, unique and visually pleasing resource management/strategy title that will provide a nice experience to those who wish to take on the role of water collector.

DarkZero

Rating 8/10

http://darkzero.co.uk/game-reviews/drip-drip-pc/

From such a straightforward concept is born one of the most fun and addictive strategy games I’ve played in a while.

The game’s difficulty curves nicely but always keeps you on your toes, and even though each level is similar and repetitive, you’ll never get bored.

Overall, Drip Drip looks great, sounds great and is a heap of fun.

I’d definitely recommend this game to anyone and hope to see it reach out to tablets and get greenlit on Steam in the near future.

Game Chronicles

Rating 4/5

http://gcvgn.com/2013/03/11/drip-drip-review-pc/

I wasn’t sure what I was getting into with Drip Drip, but it’s a fun, fast-paced experience you can pick up and put down whenever you want.

The sound design, on the other hand, is phenomenal. The graphics look cartoony, but the sound feels like an actual rainstorm, which is one of my favorite sounds. While playing the game at night, I sometimes had to mute it for a couple seconds just to make sure it wasn’t actually raining. The sound is that good, and it pulls you into the game like nothing else.

The moment to moment play is absorbing, and at $10, it’s a bargain. There’s really no other game quite like it, and Drip Drip is well worth picking up.

Gaming Trend

Rating 85

http://gamingtrend.com/game_reviews/a-good-rainy-day-game-drip-drip-review

But this latest PC/Mac title from Imminent Games actually far exceeded my expectations. In fact, I think I may be addicted to it. One of the first things that hooked me was that it’s not exactly time management, even though it does share some similarities with the genre. This actually plays more like a tower defense game.

The difficulty increases as you advance through the 24 cities on the weather map. The degree of challenge is exactly where it should be.

I will say that the sound is probably my favorite part and one of the main reasons I’ve pumped so many hours into the game. In place of a looped song that could easily grow tiresome, you’re instead treated to the soft, lulling ambiance of a rainstorm speckled with distant thunderclaps. It becomes a bit of a meditative experience and I recommend wearing headphones.

The challenging game play is highly addictive and I felt a true sense of satisfaction once I’d managed everything in place and I was collecting every drop. There’s a high replay value with achievements and upgradeable units that offers many hours of meditative gaming. It’s great fun and well worth a purchase for any fan of tower defense or time management games.

Pros

    Beautiful rain sounds

    Challenging game play

    Upgradeable units

    Addictive replayability

Square Go

Rating 4/5

http://square-go.com/drip-drip/

As for the game itself, it’s pleasingly straightforward.

Drips and events seem to be random meaning there’s a lot of replay in Drip Drip. With nice little stories between houses and a few dozen trophies for completing challenges, it’s a definite recommendation for killing time on days with and without rain.

Gaming Excellence

Rating 9.0 Excellent

http://www.gamingexcellence.com/pc/games/drip-drip/review

There’s decent variation on the level maps, and while the basic concepts are simple, Drip Drip has a deceptive amount of design and depth, similar to Plants vs Zombies.

Overall, however, Drip Drip succeeds in being a compact distraction. It’s a cute, innocent, time-waster, and well worth the $10 price.
